Part of the Family

Step into Brothers Pizza & Italian Restaurant and experience an upscale atmosphere that exudes family comfort and quality food. The newly renovated location in Centre Hall doubled in size a year and a half ago to welcome new and returning customers alike. The cozy fireplace will lure them as owners Eddie and Rose Nicolosi serve up traditional favorites such as Rose's homemade tiramisu.
Brothers has an origin rich in tradition. In the 1950's Rose's father, Angelo, and his two brothers opened a pizza shop in Brooklyn, N.Y., that has since added locations on Long Island and in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Angelo came to State College in the 1960's and opened up the first Brothers in the Nittany Mall. As his pizza became a local favorite, Brothers then picked up a location on College Avenue and in 1983 opened up in Milesburg where Rose's brother, Joe Pistone, Rose and Eddie purchased the restaurant from Angelo and one of his brothers. Eddie and Rose were married in 1985 and opened their own Brothers location in Centre Hall in 1988 where later their children, Angela and Gino helped with the business over the years.
With this foundation in family and tradition, Brothers has established loyal customers over the years who return for the homey Italian food, quality service and great prices. "It's not all about making money," Eddie says. "It's about treating customers the way you want to be treated and taking pride in your work."
Items on the menu range from appetizers, soups and salads to pizzas and imported pastas. The Nicolosis offer whole wheat and gluten-free options, and they top them with fresh, handmade meatballs and the best quality cheeses available. Family favorites include handmade lasagna made-to-order, smoked salmon pasta, chicken marsala, and of course the stromboli and calzones. "We don't skimp on quality," Eddie says.
Customers are also welcome to bring their own beer or wine to dine with.
The new renovations have also brought an expanded menu, which includes even more Nicolosi family favorite dishes such as lobster and crab ravioli, just to name a few. And the great food makes deals such as the Two for Tuesday offer, in which customers receive $6 in savings when they purchase two pizzas, even more enjoyable.
To come to Brothers is to dine like you are a member of la famiglia, reveling in the friendly Italian surroundings. The tradition of three Brooklyn brothers lives on through the Nicolosis as they add to that their own traditions for the 24th year in Centre Hall.
